A Friend Turned Sister

Welcome To My Blog

Greetings Friends, how are you doing today? I hope you are alright .

Everyone we encounter is for a purpose. It is either a blessing or a lesson, that's why you should always handle individuals well on the first encounter. They may not be important now, but believe me, later in life you might need their assistance. That's the absurdity of existence.

I have encountered nice individuals I must admit, some have gone, few are still here. I may not be able to recollect how I met all my friends but there's one individual I can not forget how we met and every time I remember how everything transpired, we just laugh.

During my year 1, I stayed in the hostel. After my year 1 I decided to leave the hostel because it wasn't beneficial for my health. After I got my residence and paid , I also got some essential things I needed as a student like bed. Due to security concerns and health emergencies , my parents recommended I search for roommates. I contacted one of my acquaintances in the hostel who was also searching for a companion. I told her to come and stay with me. After 3 months, the coronavirus started and we had an extended vacation so we spent all our time at home.
When I returned to school, our house rent had expired. I called her and told her what the landlord said . She started giving excuses that she cannot live with me again. I was so angry and pained that I abandoned the house and decided to rent at another location. That time I would prefer to remain alone after the last occurrence but my parents demanded I acquire a roommate so we can split expenses and things will be simpler for them.

One day, I received a call from an acquaintance in Port Harcourt where I reside with my parents. It was a family acquaintance, we attend the same church. She pleaded that her younger sister just got admitted into my university and didn't know anyone or where to remain so that I could kindly accommodate her till she was done with clearance so she would get her hostel space.
I concurred since I was alone. I can remember that day how her parents called me and complimented me for that kind gesture. When she was done with her clearance, the dormitory was already filled and the only option was to hire a place outside school. Since she didn't know anyone and I was in need of a roommate. At first, it was challenging to make that decision because after the first instance I promised myself not to take in someone I already know. I believe over-familiarity would create lots of trouble between us. On the other hand, I wouldn't say No because I know her and her parents have requested I let her remain with me since she doesn't know anyone. So I consented and made her my roommate.

Making her my roommate is one of the greatest judgments ever. She became my friend, close friend and now like a sister to me. We are so close that sometimes they nickname us siblings. We share lots in common like she is also knowledgeable in cryptocurrency and trading and so we do almost everything together. She's one individual I can tell everything to and vice versa.
I can't claim we don't have problems, we do frequently but we strive to address them. She understands me and I can't recall how many times she has assisted me financially.
I really don't have many friends but she's one individual that has demonstrated what true friendship is all about.
