The power of two for a healthy lifestyle

Exercise is good, Good for you and me, Dancing is exercise, Jumping is exercise, Walking is exercise, You better come and join me. Let me come in with this song from my children.

A healthy lifestyle involves exercising and dieting because they are essential components that should be combined for a better living.By combining the two and being mindful of the potential risks, we can achieve a balanced and fulfilling life.

What is an exercise?
According to Wikipedia. Exercise is a physical activity that enhances or maintains fitness and overall health. While dieting is limiting the intake of food and/or drink that you have, especially to lose weight(Cambridge Dictionary)

My personal journey has taught me the importance of finding a balance between the two. Before and after giving birth, I was skinny, and people would often ask about my university admission, making me feel pressured to gain weight. I took delight in consuming junk food as in, something that can make me more fleshy and it worked. I became fleshy overnight. However, now that I've regained my confidence that being skinny is not a problem as much as you are healthy, I want to return to my old self using size 10🤔

I've started a rigorous exercise and dieting routine, but I haven't seen the desired results yet. I'm currently a size 13 and feel uncomfortable. That's when I stumbled upon the Ketogenic World page on Facebook. The admin's guidance on controlling food consumption and focusing on unprocessed foods, vitamins, and minerals has been invaluable. You can check it out👌

The page emphasized the importance of whole foods like vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. I tried eating only fruits for a week, and the difference was remarkable. My energy levels increased, and I felt lighter. Now, I'm committed to combining dieting and exercising for optimal results. But, I'm always too lazy to take it seriously 😒

However, it's crucial to be mindful of the potential risks involved. Dieting can lead to nutrient deficiencies if not done properly. Overexercising can cause injury, burnout, and mental health issues. There is a friend of mine who has lost so much weight in just two months. How? She only eats one fruit a day not to fill her belly but just to shed weight. The day I saw her last, I told her to stop whatever weight she was into because she looked so sick to me. It is inappropriate to diet without considering your health. We must, therefore, find a balance between both and be patient.

You can't exercise regularly and expect miracles if you're consuming everything in sight, including late-night heavy food like cassava flakes or pounded yam. It's essential to let go of unhealthy habits, such as relying on caffeinated drinks and yogurt. A balanced lifestyle requires discipline. Be disciplined!

It is okay to be in a good shape and to achieve this, one need to be consistent and committed. It's not a one-time effort; it's a lifestyle change. We need to focus on progress, not perfection. Do we need to betooo hard on ourselves? Some of our celebrities did surgery to be in that shape we are seeing all over out TV stations andnaive peoplee are busy dreaming to be like them. I'm comfortable so far I'm not competing with anyone 👌

In conclusion,I prefer exerciseto dieting if only I can be serious with it. My advice is Eat healthy, stay healthy, and live healthy.
