Lovely Monday morning from this end and welcome to my entry for week 18 edition 01 which focuses on weather. Special thanks to all the management of this contest. God bless you all.
Weather is a natural thing that is determined by the season. We can also define weather as a daily change of the atmosphere which is constituted by the extent of coldness or hotness or dry or wet or winter season.
Since it occurs or varies everyday, its impact too resolved to different kind of changes. The weather in my area now is chilly though not like the USA type. Africa has varied weather especially in my area now we're in rainy season though not at its peak. This weather changes the activities of people and sometimes affects even businesses. Each weather determine the kind of things to be done.
Most businesses don't strive or find it difficult to transact and make good profits in this season. Some traders had to switch to other kind of business just to suit the weather. For instance, this is the season to harvest groundnut and maize. People roast maize to sell and make good profit. There are other businesses that flourishes too while others don't because of the weather effect.
The road to some parts of the town are bad and erosion has affected many. Because of this, there is an increase in transport fare in order for the transporters to cushion this effect while others some alternative route were created.
The weather has both negative and positive impact on us now. Another effect it has caused is the spread of some disease such as catarrh, malaria, typhoid, cholera, dysentery, etc in both adults and children alike. Some of the water are not clean and portable for drinking, the grasses in the surrounding becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
As for me, I adjust to any kind weather and make a good use of it.
