It's another wonderful moment again for me to drop my entry for this week 63 edition 2 engagement which focuses on mental health and I decided to title it mental health and it's tips.

Most at times people focus on the well-being of other aspects of the the body but less attention is given to the well being of mental health. Most individuals neglect it and focus on the physical which is not balanced. In as much as physical health is important, mental health too is pivotal that good attention must be given to it. Have you realized that the rate of madness and mad people rooming the streets is quite alarming? The time has come for us to also consider our mental health as very important as other health areas.

Mental health consists of emotional, psychological, cognitive well being of an individual. This is one of the most sensitive aspects of health that shouldn't be taken with levity because a damage to the mental health is like a damage to the entire body system.
Mental health is like the control system of the body where every decision, skills, abilities emanates from there. Most of the health complications today are originated from the lack of capacity to manage things. Most highly esteemed elites of the society today are vulnerable to stress, fatigue,high blood pressure which easily leads to death due to poor management of the mental health.

Recently, a renounce professor within my locality died and to be buried this Friday. Reports has it that he had been suffering with heart failure sorry I don't know how to call it medically abeg, I am a lay man. He had been struggling with this for a couple of years now then last week it became so high and was rushed to a health facility, unfortunately we lost him to the cold hands of death. Had it been the heart condition was specifically identified earlier things won't have deteriorated to this extend. Hmmm when there is any mental disorder, certainly it affects virtually the entire body system.

tips on managing mental health.

There are varied principles out there that one could manage his or her health status however I would highlight only few.

  • Exercise. This might sound some how difficult but this is very important because of its role in reviving other worn out tissues of the body system. You may go out for morning jogging or you may go for indoor exercise, trekking etc.
  • Check the kind of food you eat. Your balanced diet is very important. You may not have the whole world but you can manage and eat what would build, boost your immune system.
  • Don't assume anything when you feel some changes in the body. Kindly seek for consultation with a good medical consultant. This would go along way to help.
    I heard the story of someone that inject himself simply because he felt he had a broken relationship. Another lady drank an insecticide because her parents denied her from getting married to the guy. All these can be when such individuals seeks for consultation and counsel.
  • Sometimes the experience of others should serve as deterrent for others to learn from.

Mental health is everyone's business therefore it should not be taken for granted.
