Decentralized Is Ideal For Me
Since I came to know about the world of crypto, it's as if I have found a hidden that has been lost. Every human loves to be at the winning side rather than the loosing side. No one loves the word loss when it comes to business, instead we prefer a system where the little we have continue to multiply.
This is part of the reasons why people invest their resources into different platforms, as the money is there, it is also under savings and at the same time working to get them something. For this very reason many people have fallen into the hands of scammers who claim to be investors that doubles money.
Although banks are very good and well secured to some extend, but the protocol involved is too much, the other day my mother's ATM (Automated Trailer Machine) card got missing during the weekend, we looked for means to get it blocked but it was almost impossible. We called the customer care but the line was busy all through. I had to Use USSD code to block the account instead of the card.
When we got to the bank to lift the ban on the account and get another ATM card on a monday, after spending hours on a queue at the customer's care unit we were assigned to write a letter to the manager stating our request. When were done, they told us to go back and come the following day.
It was really so annoying and we need money that day, we had no option than to go back home and return when they told us to.
The security system of banks are good but It's too much, just imagine if it were a health issue we were dealing with that day and we had such need for money, how are we going to get money that day?
Another thing with banks is, once your are saving your money with them, your money becomes dormant to you but active to them, how? They will use your money to run their business and at the end of the day, your money will not increase instead, it will decrease the more because of the monthly maintenance fee.
Although there are fixed accounts that get little profits after a while but I think that's for people who have eaten and have more to spare. Someone who is living from hand to mouth can't run that kind of a deal.
In the bank, your money will be secured, you can withdraw anytime if there are no network issues and the rest but you are making the bank richer and your pockets slimmer through those little charges.
I prefer to save my money in reliable, genuine and trustworthy decentralized platform, although, the risk there are much. If you loose your device or mistakenly reveal your passwords to others your money is going to be at stake yet for me the advantage is even greater.
More over life is all about the risk, nothing is truly safe, we are not even sure of what will happen the next minute. In decentralized systems, there is nothing like standing in the queue for hours waiting to withdraw your own money, although there are times when network can be bad else right in the comfort of your own room you can make your transaction and have your money converted into your local currency.
The part I love most is, though your money is under savings, yet it is also working for you, at anytime it can multiply, depending on how the crypto market goes. So without you stressing yourself to go buying or selling. What you saved at fifty Naira, can over night become five hundred naira.
With decentralized system, one can be a multimillionaire and yet no one will know, you will save your self the stress of being scared of fraud in the bank.
Except if network is bad but transaction on decentralized platforms are faster and there you are in charge of your resources, no one would be there telling you stories. You can withdraw anytime, anyday, though conditions apply in some situations. With this, if we will be sincere with ourselves, we need no one to tell us that decentralized system of saving is far better than centralized systems
Lastly, I would love to say that both centralized and decentralized are very important and decentralized can't survive for now without banks, because we will need banks to withdraw our money at the end.
I wish a time will come when cryptocurrencies will have their solid notes for commercial activities too
