Hello, Hivers! Once again, I am back with another fictional story. This time, I am from the past and traveling to the future. After returning to my present timeline, I will share my story with all of you. Enough with the introduction, Magic Wand... KABOOM!
The room was filled with smoke. Dlm's wife was crying, thinking she had lost her husband forever due to his obsession with time travel. Suddenly, a loud noise surprised her as the gates of the time machine opened. Dlm came out from the time machine, but the duration of his journey remained unknown.
As the smoke cleared, Dlm became visible to his wife. She continued to cry, believing she was seeing her dead husband. Dlm's smile of excitement from his time travel quickly turned to concern as he saw his wife being upset. He approached her slowly, his face filled with worry, and softly reached out to touch her. The single physical interaction caused his wife to faint.
When Dlm's wife recovered her senses, she saw her husband beside her bed. He was continuously using a cold cloth on her head. After she woke up, he gave her a cup of tea. A smile of relief was also notable on her husband's face.
"Jessica! It's good to see you in good health again," said her husband. Jessica was also happy to see her husband alive and hugged him with happiness.
"Jessica, you made me worried," said Dlm.
"Oh, and you made me joyful by disappearing into a machine?" replied Jessica.
"How was your trip to the future? For a moment, I thought I had lost you," she further added.
"Yeah, It was fine.", Dlm answered.
"But don't you want to share more about it? It was your life's dream to do time travel," she curiously asked.
"I will talk about this later, honey. You need some rest today.", dlm answered in a caring tone.
Once his wife had fully recovered, she asked about the time travel again. They both sat down, and Dlm began telling the tale.
"I saw a lot of things in the future, Jessi, but one thing caught my attention the most (Jessica was looking into his eyes, surprised). Did you know that in future I met a Genie (Jessi was thinking how a scientist could believe in magic)! This genie was not any ordinator genie Jessi. When you touch it, it glows. It can replicate people's voices and face anywhere in the world to make communication easier. If you had this Genie, you could talk with your mom every day and never worry about her, as you would always know how she's doing. When you are bored, the genie can shape-shift and make voices to show you all types of life dramas for entertainment. If you don't like something, you simply make a wish, and it changes. It's like a never-ending form of entertainment. We could even control characters as if we were gods. We can become gunners, drivers, survivers, and much more just by wishing it. We can also capture a copy of things through the Genie, like still or moving memories (she was speechlessly looking at him). Imagine being able to meet your father by seeing his memories. If you want to find out how you will look in a dress, glasses or if you were a rabbit or a lion then you can do that too on your face in an alternative reality and saving those as memories. The Genie also helps you travel the world and unlock unlimited knowledge (she wanted to say something but it felt like she sealed her lips). And here's the best part, you no longer need to send letters because your Genie can send messages instantly. You can even set reminders for specific times." He kept speaking to his wife, she could only look into his eyes, no longer paying attention to his words.
After he finished, his wife said, "WOW, that's amazing. I have one question."
"What would you like to ask?" Dlm inquired.
"You requested to time travel only once. I beg you, please promise me that you won't attempt time travel again.", she answered.
Dlm took some time to consider her request and at last agreed.
Jessica let out a breath of relief as she was worried about his husband's well-being. She believed that her husband never actually traveled through time and had a head injury. Whether it was a dream, a reality, or something hitting on his head, her only concern was to ensure that he never attempt time travel again and put his life in danger. She pretended to understand and believe everything he said and hugged him relieved at the thought that her husband would now be safe. Both were unaware that the Genie DLM met was "Smart Phone" of the future.
