Hello hive friend, how are you today. I hope today is being gratefull day.
This day i found something specials and that not an insect, as you know i'am always make a post about insect, so this time i will make it different. So, today i wanna make a post about Stem Decay Fungus. This is commonly have been living in sofwood and hardwood trees and it is a decay fungus that serves as a small-scale disturbance agent in coastal rainforest ecosystems. It influences stand structure and succession in temperate rainforests. It performs essential nutrient cycling functions in forests. And it has been reported that mushrooms have significant antioxidant activity.
I found this Fungus is in the Forest absolutelly, at the rotten tree in that Forest. Their have a beautifull colour, Black and havinh a red gradient in the outside. This Fungus is so tough their wouldn't moving when their have stickling in tree. The cap is hoof-shaped or triangular, and sometimes shelflike, The fruiting body of Fomitopsis pinicola is called the conk. As in other polypores, the fruiting body is perennial with a new layer of pores produced each year on the bottom of the old pores. The pores are whitish when young and become somewhat brownish in age. This mushroom is inedible due to its woody texture, but it is useful as tinder.
I think there is not hard to take them photo, because their not moving, so i can take a picture about it.
Their places is a big Forest. I need to find them so, i need check them in avery rotten tree. Their a rarely object to find and tiday i got lucky cause i found them. If you want to see them, i got a view photo about them, lets check them out bellow.
