Today I want to share a simple home-style snack recipe.

Today I cooked BAKWAN snacks. Friends, don't you like BAKWAN? Hehe I really like it.

Crispy and savory vegetable BAKWAN may be one type of fried food that has many names in each region. In your area, is there a different name for the vegetable BAKWAN recipe?

Lovers of crispy vegetable bakwan will almost always present fried vegetables filled with vegetables as a flexible menu for all occasions. Suitable for afternoon snacks, side dishes, to breakfast menus. The result of cooking crispy vegetable bakwan recipe is never enough for one meal.

Take advantage of the remaining contents of the refrigerator if there is excess to reduce the possibility of wasting food. Instead of buying new vegetables, we can take advantage of what is left if the quality is still good. Understandably, sometimes we are confused about what to cook even though there are still leftovers in the refrigerator that are worth eating. Let's together protect this earth from the food waste problem that is now spreading. Indonesia ranks second in the world for food waste and the amount could be equivalent to feeding 28 million poor people!

Moments at home become more productive by cooking yourself an afternoon snack. Starting from fried stuffed with carrots, cabbage, scallions, and of course the taste is enriched with additional flavoring.

Materials needed :
Bakwan Flour
Flour
Leeks / Celery
Cabbage
Carrot
Sasa

How to make Vegetable Bakwan:

  • Wash all ingredients such as cabbage, carrots and scallions.
    Then cut into small pieces. For me, the carrots are grated.

  • Then, mix all ingredients such as wheat flour, Bakwan flour, additionally "Sasa"
    Add the carrots, cabbage, scallions, and celery to the flour mixture. Stir well.

  • Prepare hot oil over medium heat. Take the bakwan dough with a spoon, it can be made into small rounds or large round shapes, pour it into the oil. Fry until golden brown. Repeat the process until the dough runs out.

  • Lift and drain. Serve with soy sauce and add a few pieces of cayenne pepper.
