Planting 1000 mangrove trees in the beach area

1.JPG

hello hivers
My post this time is about planting mangroves in coastal areas in my area. As we know, mangroves are very important trees for the coastal environment.

This mangrove tree planting activity was initiated by the TNI and local students. With the aim of preventing abrasion and environmental pollution from disasters. In addition, to maintain marine ecosystems in coastal areas. Because there are various benefits of mangrove trees.

Well, in this action of planting 1000 mangrove trees, we hope that they will thrive and there will be mangrove forests on the coast. And this will preserve the environment in the area.

As we know, we often encounter mangrove tree growing in the area around the coast. Although now we rarely see it because it has been cut down by irresponsible people. In fact, the presence of mangrove trees in coastal areas will protect the environment and marine ecosystems.

Mangrove forest is a collection of trees that grow in the area around the coastline which is affected by tides and is in a place that experiences accumulation of organic matter and mud. Mangrove forest which is also known as mangrove forest is a unique ecosystem because of the activity of the inundation cycle by the tides.

Mangrove forests have a very large function for our environment, including:

  1. As a plant that is able to withstand sea water currents that erode the coastal land, in other words mangrove plants are able to hold sea water so as not to erode the soil on the coastline.

  2. Like other plant functions, mangroves also have a function as an absorber of carbon dioxide gas (CO2) and a producer of oxygen (O2).

  3. Mangrove forests have a role as a place to live for various marine biota such as small fish for shelter and foraging for food. In addition to marine animals, for mangrove forests whose coverage is quite wide, there are often types of land animals in it, such as monkeys and birds.
