Street Market. #Photofeed Contest, Round 71 - STREET PHOTOGRAPH

Our society is so multifaceted. There are several facilities and structures on the street. Walking through the streets of our country, you will likely see several goods on display and several service providers.

I refer to the shops on the roadside as street markets. I do not know whether that is a proper term but I lack the right vocabulary to use. 😃 Since there are buying and selling on the streets I chose to named it street market.

By the streets of Ilorin in Kwara State, Nigeria, you could lay your hands on whatever you desire to buy. There are fabrics; there are snacks; there are shoes of all kinds; there are food vendors; there are newspaper vendors, and many more goods available for sale.

Services are readily available by the streets also. You would see tailor to mend your dresses; there vulcanizers to mend your punctured tyres; there are salons and barbering shops to make and cut your hair. There are many services readily available when you are on the streets.

Organization is one very important attribute observed among these traders and service providers. The streets are neatly decorated by the array of the various classes of goods being displayed. This is achieved by colonization of identical goods in various segments of the streets. That makes it easy for buyers to know which part of the street to go and get what they want to buy.

The practice of having shopping stalls by the streets has really offered easy accessibility to the community members to access whatever they desire. It becomes easy to run out of one's house and get to the street and purchase one’s needs without much stress.
