In most of the streets in our cities, cars are parked on the street. The array of cars usually decorate our streets.
There are many causes of parking cars on the road. Some of the houses are offices with many of the staff members owning cars. The space within the compound usually is not as big to provide for a large parking lodge for cars. Another factor is that most of the urban dwellers are tenants. They live in apartments.where there is not enough space for parking cars.
Parking besides the road in the streets can pose problems to the society and the car owners. Parking besides the road hinders the free flow of traffic. To the owners of the vehicles, that is risky. Their vehicles could be stolen. We have had incidents where people’ vehicles were tampered with on the streets.
Residential areas should be well planned by town planning authorities to avoid parking cars on the streets. Land owners should build their houses and make allowance for parking space for tenants. Office apartments should have provisions for parking lodges for their clients. In areas were there are event centers, guests should be regulated properly to avoid parking carelessly on the streets.
