Kites
The kite is a toy originating in ancient China, which flies thanks to the force of the wind and one or more threads that keep it from the ground in its correct flying position.
Although it is a traditional game for children, it is also considered a sport, with competitions in which mainly adults participate.
In recent times, it has become customary to decorate streets or pedestrian walkways with umbrellas or kites of different colors, which in addition to serving as a tourist attraction, also allows passersby to protect themselves from the sun's rays during their walks.
In the central area of my city, next to the building where the various local and regional courts of justice are located, the municipal authorities decided to cover a narrow street with colonial style houses on the opposite side, with a large number of kites of different colors to attract the attention of locals and visitors.
La cometa, también conocida como papagayo o papalote en otros países, es un juguete originario de la antigua China, que vuela gracias a la fuerza del viento y a uno o varios hilos que la mantienen desde tierra en su postura correcta de vuelo.
Aunque es un juego tradicional para niños, también se le considera un deporte al realizarse competencias en las que participan principalmente adultos.
En los últimos tiempos, se ha vuelto costumbre adornar calles o paseos peatonales, con sombrillas o cometas de diferentes colores, que además de servir como atractivo turístico, también permite a los transeuntes protegerse de las inclemencias del sol durante sus caminatas.
En el casco central de mi ciudad, a un costado de la edificación donde se encuentran ubicados los diversos tribunales de justicia locales y regionales, las autoridades municipales decidieron cubrir una estrecha calle que posee casas de estilo colonial en el lado contrario, con una gran cantidad de cometas de diferentes colores buscando atraer la atención de propios y visitantes.
