Memories
Memory formation is the ability of the human brain to store, retain and later recall past experiences. However, our memory is sometimes unpredictable, sometimes some memories are permanently etched in our brain like a tattoo on our skin, while others are fuzzy or completely forgotten.
Memories are a very important part of our lives, and they are also one of the few possessions we have that are unique to us, as everyone remembers an event differently. Happy memories are an important ingredient of our happiness in the present, while bitter memories teach us life lessons and guide us in the future.
This pair of photographs belonging to my personal archive, were taken some years ago during a brief visit to Puerto Cabello, specifically in "Los Lanceros" Street, located in the historic center of this port city.
La formación de recuerdos es la capacidad que posee el cerebro humano para almacenar, retener y posteriormente recordar experiencias pasadas. Sin embargo, nuestra memoria es a veces impredecible, en ocasiones, algunos recuerdos quedan grabados permanentemente en nuestro cerebro como un tatuaje en la piel, mientras que otros son confusos o se olvidan por completo.
Los recuerdos son una parte muy importante de nuestras vidas, y también constituyen una de las pocas posesiones que tenemos y que son únicas para nosotros, ya que cada quien recuerda un acontecimiento de forma diferente. Los recuerdos felices son un ingrediente importante de nuestra felicidad en el presente, mientras los recuerdos amargos nos dan lecciones de vida y nos orientan en el futuro.
Este par de fotografías pertenecientes a mi archivo personal, las tomé algunos años atrás durante una breve visita que realizara a Puerto Cabello, específicamente en la Calle "Los Lanceros", ubicada en el casco histórico de esta ciudad portuaria.
