Prayer
A prayer is a supplication, plea or praise made to God, the saints, or some sacred person. Usually, prayer is part of a religious rite, as in the case of Christianity.
The procedures, characteristics, and even to whom the prayer is directed, are based on the beliefs of the person who performs such activity.
Last Friday, the day that commemorates the death of Jesus on the cross, according to Christian beliefs, I went to downtown Barquisimeto to visit some of the churches in the city, as part of the activities of Holy Week. In my tour, I had the opportunity to participate in the acts of the date, as well as photographing the temples and the people who went to the temples of the center to silently raise their prayers to the Creator.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Una oración es una súplica, ruego o alabanza que se hace a Dios, a los santos, o alguna persona sagrada. Usualmente, la oración forma parte de un rito religioso, como es el caso del cristianismo.
Los procedimientos, características, e incluso, a quien va dirigida la oración, están basados en las creencias de la persona que realiza dicha actividad.
El pasado Viernes, día en que se conmemora la muerte de Jesús en la cruz, de acuerdo a las creencias cristianas, fuí hasta el centro de Barquisimeto para visitar algunas de las iglesias de la ciudad, dentro de las actividades propias de la Semana Santa. En mi recorrido, tuve la oportunidad de participar en los actos propios de la fecha, así como, fotografiar los templos y las personas que acudieron a los templos del centro para elevar en silencio sus plegarias al Creador.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
