In summer time I like to take some hiking trips to the mountains here in Austria. One of the reasons is that there are very beautiful spots where you can do landscape photography but, during the summer time you can also find animals and birds easier in certain heights where it is not so hot any more during the summer months. I am already looking forward visiting the alps again this summer, but I still don't really know how to do it this year, because if we want to stay overnight we need to do a COVID test every 48 hours and this is something very inconvenient when staying in the mountains and getting back to the Test-Drives.

Visiting the Alps is always a perfect combination of landscape-, animal-, bird-, macro- and Insect photography. There are so many beautiful landscapes and objects that deserve to be on my pictures. Unfortunately I need to carry a lot of weight because of this fact. I need my 150-600mm lens for bird and animal photography the macro lens for flowers and insect photography and the 18-105mm lens for landscape photography. A tripod some Lee filters for longtime exposure and of course some water for drinking and something to eat is also always very important.

We can be very grateful in Austria to still have this beautiful nature in the Alps and on several lakes and other beautiful landscape places. But even here they are getting fewer and fewer because people build a lot of houses and industrial parks. I am happy that a lot of parts of the alps are national park and there it is not allowed to build big hotels or similar buildings.
