PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape Photography #49 : A Pueblo Blanco

This is a small Andalucian town in Spain. The whitewashed Pueblo Blancos are most charming. This town is called Setenil de las Bodegas. It's not like the other towns that are usually built on top of hills. This town is different. It's built on the bottom of a ravine, cut out by a river. The houses in the center are located on the bottom and built into the cliffs. Quite unique. I don't know if there are any other towns that are similar to Setenil. First photo is my entry to @photofeed contest @photofeed/photofeed-contest-cityscape-photography-round-49

Besides the first photo I want to add a few other photos of the houses built into the rocks. We actually parked the car on the top and then walked on a winding road down into the center of town. The road was steep and narrow. We didn't want to get any problems downtown. We also noticed that the all the streets were one-way. I think it was wise to park the car outside town. As you can see on a couple of the photos the rocks loos as if they are pressing on the houses, but as I understood, it is the houses that has been built underneath the cliffs. It was raining most of the time we were here, but as we could walk underneath the rocks most of time, we didn't get wet!
