twisted mango roots

A pleasant Sunday evening, y'all amazing people!

Last weekend, I traveled to mom in the farmland, a 20-minute ride from our house, and I had an hour of walking into mom's backyard, where I took our dog for a walk every time I visited. The backyard has a wide orchard, and my late grandma used to plant different fruit trees and vegetables in it. It still has some veggies up to the present time, but it's now in charge of my aunt's sister.

Beside the orchard are a lot of mahogany trees, a few mango, banana, and other fruit-bearing trees. While walking around the woods, I noticed a huge mahogany tree that had somewhat dried and whose bark was peeling. I thought of taking a photo of it and the tree next to it. There was also a huge mango tree a few steps away from the mahogany woods, and the roots were sticking out. I thought it was cool and deserved a photo. So here are the shots and my entry to @photofeed's Black & White Photography Round 48.
