The Hallgrímskirkja Church is the most iconic church in Reykjavik, Iceland and is also one of the tallest building there. As it is one of the tallest building there, the top of the church also acts as the observatory for the city. The view from the top of the church is amazing!

I visited the top of the church during day, as it's opening hours did not extend to night time (if I recall correctly), and went back again during sunset to do a night shoot. Sunset was unfortunately almost non-existent during to the ash layer in the air (I was there some weeks after the volcano eruption and the ash cloud had not cleared yet). The blue hour was still great though.

And the sky cleared enough one of the nights for me to catch the aurora too!
