Climbing out of the mud!
I am sure no cake pro decorator, but we had fun with this first time attempt. We used three basic consistencies of frosting. First we mixed up some very wet for the mud puddle. There went to regular with cocoa powder drizzled around for depth of the ground. Finally we used way more confectioners sugar to fashion the boulders. Of course the stones were just rock candy pieces.
We had a birthday celebration at the house and in a word I would say it was sweet. As in really nice, but also sweet as in too much carrot cake and way too much Jeep cake, not to mention too much of...
Even the birthday boy had to be carried so as not too see his cake before the reveal lol.
Yet in the end, a good time was had by all. After all, isn't that the point?
