This is the white spider lily. They are perennials and are quite common around here. But, although they are called lilies, they are not a true lily.

Spider lily is the common name for a number of different plant species within the family Amaryllidaceae. There are also red spider lilies, golden lilies and other varieties of spider lilies. Those are not so common here.

The name Spider lily comes from the flower which looks like spider legs.
