Today morning we were travelling to our second home, which is now a regular thing and most of the time I am living there. The place is on a hill and there is some altitude gain which makes the weather much pleasant in this place then what it is in the city. Monsoon has also set in and its the favourite time of the year for me. I love the greenery that sets in during this time.
Today morning while travelling it was raining and as much as it looks beautiful we also need to be very careful, since we are moving upwards the winds are strong and it also becomes very foggy leaving very poor visibility. Ghat means a mountain pass and I always enjoy these long drives. The traffic moves slow here since its a climb.
This is the closest hill station from Mumbai which can be reached in 2 hrs. On a Saturday morning this road gets packed with traffic, because everyone wants to come to these hills to spend the weekend and then Sunday evening it is reverse. I always plan my travels in a way that I cut off the traffic jam.

This is why I miss my city so much when I am in Muscat. Muscat is a very beautiful city but I miss the greenery and this part of nature there.
