First up though is a #beautifulsunday (hosted by @ace108) photo with a #funkyedit (hosted by @krazypoet) with Saturation to the Max.
Not the brightest of days at the Piece Hall, but at least it is open and trading again - even if you have to sit outside to enjoy the food or drink on offer. In the UK we are still under Covid lockdown - so while since April 12th we can shop normally and visit personal grooming (hairdressers, gyms etc) eating and drinking has to be take out still or seated outside the establishment. This would be fine in many parts of the world where it is always sunny and warm - but here in the UK the weather can change in minutes even today it went from bright sunshine to heavy rain and hail - then back to sun in twenty minutes! We had a good run for the first two weeks of quite mild weather so outside eating areas were packed with people fed up of being stuck in doors since last November - this week though it cooled down and you have to be a hardy type to sit outdoors on a bench eating your Sunday Roast in a heavy jacket to fend of 5 degrees temperature and occasional rain.
It's a far cry from the start of April when we had exceptionally warm sunny weather.
Anyway it's been another weekend where work pressure overrules all, I've managed to have more weekends off this year then I did all of last year - but with work always needing to be done getting a head start by catching up on orders over the weekend always helps.
And that means roasting even more coffee, the gif above is the 5kg roaster burner igniting - the drum the coffee roasts in is heated by a big gas flame burner - the 30kg roaster has a much bigger burner!
So that's me anyway, always next to a roaster either roasting coffee, thinking about roasting coffee or
Trying to work out what coffee I need to order in next to roast. It's a full time job and a half.
And then when the coffee arrives it needs sorting ready to roast, Decaffeinated is so popular nowadays - and my custom low caff Brazilian especially.
