The day that we were leaving Bologna for Rome, we had a light breakfast in our room and enjoyed the view from our window. Because of the sounds in the street - which wasn't noisy to the point that it became a nuisance, it was more an orchestra of claxons, motors and the bustle of a city - from our window we knew that we had a room looking out into the alley. By taking some pictures from the window, it was my way of saying goodbye to the beautiful romantic city.
After verifying that our bags were packed, we checked out and went to our favorite pizzeria Nettuno for lunch. As we had some time left before departing, we decided to load up on some brown bean based beverage and were happy to see that there was a cafetaria near our departure point.
From the outside it looked insignificant - like any caffe one would find near a terminal - and once inside it looked modern and functional. Seeing that the caffe also had savory lunch options, only increased its appeal. We ordered per usual a cappuccino each, as we only needed to refuel and weren't in the headspace to experiment.
We noticed how generous the baristas were as the cups were filled to the brim and the staff was professional and timely. The room was filled as it was around lunchtime and people kept coming and going, as it was situated near a station. Furthermore, was the coffee mild and yet strong enough to give us the kick we needed. The foam was thick and fluffy enough to enjoy and scrape from the cup.
