Today I bring you the review of two things that I recently discovered, when I went with my family to visit the house of a friend who lives in a mountainous area, I confess that despite the number of years that I have enjoyed coffee , I had never had the opportunity to drink coffee in a cup made of aluminum calamine, this is a synthetic material that looks like a kind of alloy between plastic and metal which is quite unusual to find in my country.
According to what my friend told me, she had reserved that cup especially for me because she knew that I am a big fan of coffee and I love to write about it, so when her husband brought it from Colombia along with an instant coffee, he did not hesitate to invite us to spend a nice family time with friends, and we enjoyed a good cup of this coffee, so I will divide the review into two parts, the first to talk about the experience with the cup and the second to tell you about this Colombian coffee that is reputed to be one of the best in the world but hey, we'll see about that because fame is not always a guarantee of a good product, sometimes it's just advertising.
The aluminum calamine cup
Let's talk about the cup, the first thing I must say is that it really is very strange despite having a robust appearance due to its metallic shine, it is actually extremely light, it definitely deceives the sense of sight in this aspect, another thing to highlighting is that it has quite efficient properties to maintain the heat of the drink, that is why it is widely used in cold areas and well, my friend lives in a mountain full of industries, sheds, and fog where at this time of year it rains a lot, and it is cold so that testing the properties of this vessel was definitely a good idea.
My friend prepared the coffee for me urging that I will talk about later and served it boiling in the cup, the first thing I must admit is my serious mistake in thinking that because it is a metallic material it would get hot and could burn my lips, but nothing that seeing is the opposite, the special material from which it is made preserves the heat inside the container, keeping the temperature stable for up to 20 minutes while on the outside the cup is completely cold to the touch, something that was quite surprising for me.
This cup is very good, comfortable, and useful, especially when you go on camping trips. In my opinion, due to its characteristics, I must also highlight that it does not alter the taste of the drink and actually keeps it hot for longer.
Old Mill Coffee
This instant coffee has had a great tradition for many years in some parts of Colombia, having an important reputation that does not denote as a high-quality coffee, its name is Old Mill Coffee, and this time I will try the instant version, although you can also buy it in powder and grain depending on the place where you are, this one, in particular, was brought to my country from Colombia by my friend's husband as a special gift for us given our fame as coffee lovers.
According to the instructions on the package, it can be taken with milk or black, although it highlights that the result of black coffee is something strong similar to an espresso coffee. It was at that moment that I said to myself that this is exactly how I like it, especially for this cold that it is a coffee with a strong body and very hot, I must say that this brand did not disappoint me at all, it really is a very good coffee, despite being instant, it has a flavor that stands out on the palate and an impressive aroma that in a few seconds took over the whole the room, for those of us who enjoy this type of thing, certainly, this coffee is a delicacy of the Gods that give truth to those sayings that the best coffees in the world are made in Colombia, this one in particular fascinated me because it gave everything that promised and more, so if you have the opportunity to try it, do not hesitate to do so because you will enjoy a great product.
I hope that one day they can live this kind of experience with a perfect combination like this one that my friends gave me of a cup of new technology added to a coffee with a traditional flavor.

Un saludo a toda la apreciada comunidad de cupcinnamon, espero que como siempre se encuentren bien y disfrutando de las maravillas del café junto a la llegada de la navidad en cualquier parte del mundo
El día de hoy les traigo la reseña de dos cosas que recién descubrí, cuando fui con mi familia de visita a la casa de una amiga que vive en una zona montañosa, les confieso que a pesar de la cantidad de años que tengo disfrutando del café, nunca había tenido la oportunidad de tomar café en taza hecha de calamina de aluminio, este es un material sintético que parece una especie de aleación entre el plástico y el metal el cual es bastante inusual de conseguir en mi país.
Según me contó mi amiga tenía reservada esa taza especialmente para mí porque sabía que soy un gran fan del café y me encanta escribir sobre ello, por eso cuando su esposo la trajo de Colombia junto con un café instantáneo no dudó en invitarnos a que pasáramos un agradable rato familiar entre amigos y disfrutamos de una buena taza de este café, por eso dividiré la reseña en dos partes la primera para hablar de la experiencia con la taza y la segunda para contarles sobre este café colombiano que tiene fama de ser uno de los mejores del mundo, pero bueno eso ya lo veremos porque la fama no siempre es garantía de un buen producto, en ocasiones es solo publicidad.
La taza de Calamina de Aluminio
Hablemos de la taza, lo primero que debo decir es que realmente es muy extraña a pesar de tener un aspecto robusto por su brillo metálico en realidad es extremadamente liviana, definitivamente hace todo un engaño al sentido de la vista en este aspecto, otra cosa a resaltar es que tiene propiedades bastante eficientes para mantener el calor de la bebida por eso es muy usada en zonas frías y bueno mi amiga vive en una montaña llena de industrias, galpones y neblina donde en esta época del año llueve bastante y hace frío por lo que probar las propiedades de este recipiente definitivamente fue una buena idea.
Mi amiga me preparó el café instando del que les hablaré más adelante y lo sirvió hirviendo en la taza, lo primero que debo reconocer es mi grave equivocación al pensar que por ser un material metálico esta se calentara y pudiera quemar mis labios, pero nada que ver es todo lo contrario, el material especial del que está hecho conserva el calor en el interior del recipiente manteniendo la temperatura estable hasta por unos 20 minutos mientras en el exterior la taza al tacto se encuentra totalmente fría, algo que fue bastante sorprendente para mí.
Esta taza es muy buena, cómoda y útil sobre todo para cuando sales de viajes de campamento en mi opinión por sus características, además debo resaltar que no altera el sabor de la bebida y en verdad la mantiene caliente por más tiempo.
El Café Viejo Molino
Este café instantáneo tiene una gran tradición desde hace muchos años en algunas partes de Colombia, teniendo un importante renombre que no denota como un café de gran calidad, su nombre es Viejo molino, que en esta oportunidad probaré la versión instantánea aunque también puedes comprarlo en polvo y en grano dependiendo del sitio donde te encuentres, esté en especial fue traído a mi país desde Colombia por el esposo de mi amiga como un regalo especial para nosotros dada nuestra fama de amantes del café.
Según las instrucciones del envase puede tomarse con leche o negro aunque resalta que el resultado del café negro es algo fuerte similar a un café expreso, fue en ese momento donde me dije exactamente así es como me gusta sobre todo para este frío que sea un café de cuerpo fuerte y bien caliente, debo decir que esta marca no me decepcionó para nada, en verdad es un muy buen café a pesar de ser instantáneo tiene un sabor que resalta en el paladar y un aroma impresionante que en pocos segundos se apoderó de toda la habitación, para los que disfrutamos de este tipo de cosas ciertamente este café es un manjar de los Dioses que da veracidad a esos dichos de que en Colombia se hacen los mejores cafés del mundo, este en particular a mí me fascino porque dio todo lo que prometía y más, así que si tienen oportunidad de probarlo no duden en hacerlos porque disfrutarán de un gran producto.
Espero que algún día puedan vivir este tipo de experiencia con una combinación perfecta como esta que me regalaron mis amigos de una tasa de nueva tecnología sumada a un café de sabor tradicional.
