On Saturday morning Brenda woke up so early to listen to the news with hwr hot cup of coffee, while Jonny was still sleeping because he was so tired.
"Honey, come look at this," Brenda called from the sitting room.
Jonny came out of the bedroom sluggishly to see what was wrong with his wife.
"What happened, why did you shout like that," Jonny replied with his eyes that were not opened yet.
"Babe am sorry to disturb your sleep but you need to see this news, scientist have finally created a blend of coffee that would bring back lost childhood memories," Brenda said to her husband.
"What? Really? Can that be real?" Jonny's eyes were clear immediately Brenda told him that and he sat on the couch next to Brenda to watch the news.
"Babe don't you think we need to give this coffee a try, since we don't know everything about each other's childhood," Brenda said to her husband.
"I wouldn't mind knowing what you looked like when you were a child," Jonny said jokingly they both talked for some minutes after the news and Brenda wrote down the number to call for the coffee because they both wanted to know more about each other.
Two days later, "Babe am home," Jonny said immediately he got into the sitting room and rushed down to the kitchen to brew the scientist coffee that he bought without waiting for his wife. Meanwhile, Brenda was in the bathroom and she didn't hear him calling her.
Some minutes later, Brenda was done bathing so she went to the sitting room to watch a movie only for her to see her husband lying on the ground shaking as if he had a seizure.
"Babe! Babe!!" Brenda shouted immediately she saw him on the ground shaking, she couldn't carry him but she lifted him and started to tap his face to wake him up.
"Babe wake up, what is wrong with you" She dropped him back on the floor to get a first aid kit when she got to the kitchen she saw a cup of coffee and the sachet and that was how she knew her husband took the scientist coffee. She rushes back to the sitting room.
"Babe can you hear me what are you seeing," she kept on dragging him to wake up but he didn't.
Jonny on the other hand, saw himself in his mother's belly and he was happy to see how much his parents loved him and he saw how much his father loved to drink coffee.
"Oh I took that from him," he said with a smile on his face.
The next thing he saw was the day he was given birth to and how happy the whole family was, he was looking at how everyone was rejoicing for having him. All of a sudden he saw some nurses in the hospital rushing in and out of the ward where his mother was and the next thing he saw was his mother spirit's right beside him.
"Mom, why did you leave in such a hurry, you killed my father's joy".
"I didn't mean for that to happen, and that is why you should take good care of him for me because he raised you all alone" she replied with tears in her eyes
"Mom I missed you," Jonny said with tears in his eyes, they both hugged and his Mom disappeared before he opened his eyes. He didn't feel her in his arms anymore and that was when he opened his eyes.
He was about to go to his father when he sneezed and then woke up on the floor where he was lying down right inside his sitting room.
"Babe you are back, I thought I lost you," Brenda said while she hugged him so tight, Jonny burst into tears immediately after she said that. Brenda didn't know what made him cry so she asked, "Babe are you ok? What did you see in the past".
"I don't want to talk about it," Jonny said and then stood up then went into the bedroom to shower, while Brenda followed him.
"Babe, can I also take the coffee?" She asked.
"You dare not do that, because I can't lose you too," Jonny said angrily.
"Lose me? How? But you woke up and am sure I will too," Brenda said.
"I said no, you are not taking it," he shouted and then burst into tears again.
"Babe, what happened? What did you see" Brenda asked and this time Jonny explained how the day he was born turned into a sorrowful day for his family how bad he felt seeing all that and how he saw his mother who was crying for leaving without saying goodbye to the rest of the family.
Brenda felt bad to hear that and they never took the scientist's coffee again they switched back to their normal coffee.
