Hello Hive!
Everyday may not be good, but there's something good in everyday.
The best part of my mornings when I'm in Cebu City, starts with a lovely cup of cappuccino at my usual breakfast spot Abaca Baking Company Ayala Mall Cebu
With a city the size of 315 km2, of course there are many eateries offering breakfast, but there's an undeniably special element to Abaca's mission - their coffee is made with love!
There's a good kick to it, and it sure left it's mark on me!
All Day Breakfast
My husband @scubahead and I love breakfast food (not always as a morning meal), as we like to have all day breakfast.
Before restrictions, with the assistance of @diveratt, we'd visit Cebu City sometimes twice monthly for purchasing Dive Shop supplies and business duties. Our trips were always a welcoming change of scenery and pace from the province and tourist area of Moalboal, 3 hours away.
Traversing across Cebu City means hitching taxis and sometimes navigating certain sections of the city by foot.
At some point, usually lunchtime, we'd all meet at Abaca for one of their All-Day Breakfast dishes. Abaca meals are large portion sizes suitable for sharing between two persons, but on this day I selected their Bagels, Salmon, Cream Cheese and Salad meal - one that I can polish off myself easily 😋
We love that they do not skimp on the Cream Cheese 😜
Everything about this meal is relatively healthy and super delicious.
- fresh cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions
- wholegrain bagels
- fresh smoked salmon slices
- a nice tub of fresh cream cheese.
- a delicious strong cup of cappuccino
- and sometimes we'll each order a cup of fresh Calamansi Juice (a mix of a lime and a lemon) to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Abaca is our number one choice because staff are attentive and knowledgeable about their products, service is fast and music is soft and mellow, allowing for great conversations over coffee.
Bright Sunny Days At Ayala Mall, Cebu City
The days are noticeably hotter these days in the Philippines, as summer is approaching. Hopefully we'll make a trip to the city soon, and stop by Abaca for our regular cups of cappuccinos and I'm looking forward to sampling some of their pies and pastries.

Missing Such Treats
Speaking of a mark...
'Lipstick? What's that?'
We've been back to Abaca once over the last year and their attention to sanitation was impressive. All tables were thoroughly sanitized with laser beams and the staff were meticulous with following safety and sanitary procedures.
Thank you for reading my blog, so long till next time!
Keep Safe Peeps 🤗💚
