Kiara and I at Mugg and Bean this morning
Wishing all my Jewish friends Shanah Tovah
Today marked the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah
Rosh Hashanah begins
Sunday, 25 September
and ends in the evening of
Tuesday, 27 September
This is because the dates of Jewish festivals come from the Hebrew Calendar, so the Jewish New Year begins in autumn, as opposed to on 1 January. Quoted from Wikipedia

Kiara and I started our day with a nice cappuccino at Mugg & Bean

After coffee we went shopping to look for items for her sisters engagement party that she is having next week Saturday.
We also went to go get some groceries for the New Year lunch we were having with her whole family, her sister, the sisters fiancée, her grandmother and her father and mother.

Amongst many other dishes, we had roast lamb and lamb shanks, with some traditional kitka bread, salad, pita bread and chicken skewers. I ate so much and was so full afterwards.
We relaxed the rest of the day.
