My favorite coffee has been stolen

Discovering that a relative has stolen from you and that what was stolen was coffee is something to worry about because no one should mess with my coffee.

But I should take a deep breath and face the problem with respect and understanding. Instead of devising torture, I could try to talk to my family member to understand the reason for his attitude. Sometimes, the best solution is not the easiest to imagine.

I am reminded of a story told to me by an ancient sage on one of my trips through the Asian continent.

Once upon a time, there was a family that used to gather every Sunday to eat together.

One such Sunday, when everyone was at the table to enjoy a delicious fried chicken that Grandma had cooked, the older brother found out that his little brother had hidden his favorite coffee.

This angered him and he decided to confront him. The younger brother told him that he did it because he was lonely and wanted the older brother to notice.

This answer left the older brother perplexed. He realized that the problem was not the coffee, but the lack of attention.

In the end, both brothers agreed that they would spend more time together and that the younger brother would no longer hide the coffee.

This story shows us that the best way to face problems is with understanding and respect.

Instead of devising torture, it is better to try to understand the situation from the other person's point of view. Violence can only result in more violence, torture is not for civilized people; it is not a solution.

Long live coffee and family!
