Today i have the chance to meet up with my friends.
We met up to eat.
But, like usual or tradition here, i dont know why.
When we meet up with our friends, it doesnt feel right if we dont go to coffee shop.
Its just like a must.
Weird right?
I dont know if the same thing happened to other group of friends in another country, do you and your friends have to go to coffee shop no matter if you already eating in restaurant or not?
This is the coffee shop.
The name is Filosofi Kopi.
The name if the coffee shop is the same as one of famous Indonesian book by Dee Lestari.
The novel itself released first in February 2006.
Not only in the form of book, they made a movie out of it.
And taraaa, the owner of the coffee shop is actually the actor in the movie.
The coffee shop Filosofi Kopi in Medan located in Jl. Samanhudi No.7, Hamdan, Kec. Medan Maimun, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara 20152 .
The Filosofi Kopi Neighborhood concept goes by the brand name Filosofi Kopi Ride.
This concept is rooted in the word neighborhood, an area where people can gather and chat with each other.
We want the Filosofi Kopi Ride , which has a neighborhood concept, to be a place for gathering and exchanging ideas while chatting without any boundaries .
The menu at the Filosofi Kopi Ride is also different from other concepts, more varied, cheerful and focused on the tongue of young people. By location, the neighborhood will be closer to residential areas and densely populated.
In the front of the entrance, we can wash our hands first before we enter the inside of the coffee shop.
Please make sure we are clean before we enter for the sake of you and other people.
Here is where we order the drink.
Mostly their sitting area is outside of this area and where we need to order and where they make our order is inside.
We order it and then we pick it up in the corner of the table.
It doesn’t take long for them to make our order.
My order is finished in 5 minutes.
They asked our name when we order and then they call us when our order is ready.
I like how fast they make our order despite the place is basically full of people.

As we can see the table is quite far from each other.
Not only that, i love how it is an open space area.
They have some indoor area too bug it mostly for single and two people, not for more than that.
Me and my friends , in total we have 5 people and 1 baby.
So we decided to just sit inside to make us more comfortable.
Even though we’re friends with each other, we make sure to keep our distance of each other.
Just for the sake of safety.
This is their menu.
They only serve drinks here, no food.
But this place is in the same building as a restaurant so we can actually just order food from the rest besides this coffee shop and enjoy our food in here.
They have quite variant of drink and there’s some interesting drinks that i want to try .
I really want to try the coffee variant , but sadly because of my coffee last time giving me my ulcer back i should avoid coffee for awhile now.
This is my order.
I choose to have Es Teh Susu Earl Grey or Earl Grey Iced Milk Tea.
I asked for less ice and no sugar like usual.
Sadly, i cant have the ice earl grey without the milk tea.
If i only want earl grey tea, i only can have it hot and not cold.
I dont get why.
Its the same tea bag right?
Why they cant just put water and ice in there?
For the Earl Grey Iced Milk Tea, the taste of the milk is very dominant and only a little bit hint of the earl grey.
I would prefer if they can put more earl grey into it.
The price of this drink is 23.000 idr .
Very cheap for coffee shop.
