Coffee at the Garden Centre

During my cat and house sitting duties, I popped over to Jacksdale Garden Centre to try the onsite Pavillion Café. I don't know the area well, but a quick Google brought me here.

It had a European Cup theme going on. Come on, England! Even though I arrived just as they were opening up, the queue had already formed. After queuing for 15 minutes, I was thinking of flouncing off in a huff, but the smell of the food kept me there. Any road, I ordered a regular veggie breakfast and an americano with oat milk. It was good to see they do regular and small meal portions that aren't classed as a child's portion. A lot of older people can't stomach a big meal. I'm in the older category myself, but thankfully, my appetite is good. Long may it continue!

After I got served and sat down, it was at this point that they shouted that breakfasts were running 30 minutes late. Wtf?? I spotted a coaster earlier that was being sold in the garden centre shop. I could have written this myself.

Oh well, to pass the time away I started to write up this blog. ✍️ Thankfully, the coffee arrived quickly. It was really nice with the creamy oat milk.

They gave me the usual free Biscoff biscuit. They are the most boring biscuit on this planet. If you dunk them, and if you're lucky, half the biscuit will fall off into your coffee, and you will then get rid of it. 😁

.... fifteen minutes still to go, and my stomach is rumbling. Five minutes to go, and my breakfast suddenly appears. It looked very appetising. I don't like it, though, when they put beans and tomatoes in little pots. For a start, it's more washing up for them. After I took this photo, everything got tipped up on to one plate. It's how it should be.

Verdict: I'm glad I didn't flounce off as everything was very tasty. Next time, I will go a bit later when it's less peopley. 😁
