At the Blue Lagoon Cafe with Free Dog Biscuits!

We called in at the Blue Lagoon Cafe at the National Stone Centre. Here you can go on
geo trails to find fossils and do a bit of gem panning, but more importantly, we went to eat!

There weren't many people in, so we got served quite quickly. I loved the counter as it was made out of stone. I've not been since new management has taken over, and the cafe has been refurbished.

As I'm looking after my friend's dog while she is on holiday, it was good to see that the cafe was still dog friendly, with free biscuits for your pooches.

The biscuits didn't go unnoticed by Buddy either.

When new management takes over, you do wonder if things are going to be as good. I'm pleased to say the latte and black americano were worth the wait.

Although Buddy couldn't wait any longer ....

After a 25 minute wait, we finally got our jacket potato with salad and a quiche with salad and coleslaw.

In the cafe, they also had a
'Rock Shop' with interesting rocks and crystals that you can buy during your visit.

There was also a massive tyre, which was quite a talking point.

We'd just looked around a derelict quarry and spotted some old tyres that had been left, so we presumed that's where the tyre had come from, only from something bigger like a caterpillar truck.

And the verdict on the food? Unfortunately, all I can politely say is that it filled a gap!
