New Toys Wacaco minipresso NS2

Well Hivers I’m off on my travels again and not looking to the coffee in Malaysia again. The locals seem to like their coffee very sweet and with out sugar the local brews can be a bit bitter so finding a convenient way to make my own espresso was very handy.

Wacaco minipresso NS2 Is a handy little gadget I got mine with the optional carry case.

Which holds the minipresso and a selection of Nespresso pods.

Using the gadget couldn’t be simpler just remove the cup and unscrew the bottom to fit a coffee pod.

Screw the bottom back on take off the lid and fill with hot water refit the lid tightly then release the pump to pressurise the coffee maker.

The first few pumps build up pressure to burst the foil on the pod then coffee flows. It’s not hard and easy to pump one handed once the coffee is flowing. You get a good size espresso which is strong enough to water down with hot water for full cup if that’s what you want. So that’s my morning coffee sorted for the next few weeks

Cleaning the minipresso is simple to just unscrew the bottom to remove the used Nespresso Pod and rinse out the bottom, all the water is pumped through so hot water tank is completely empty.

I used it for the first time on the flight to KL made a great change to the usual dish water instant you get on flights and all you need from the cabin staff is a cup of hot water.

So there you are Hivers probably the best travel coffee gadget I’ve bought in ages
With the travel case it was a few pounds short of £100 direct from the Wacaco website and took about 4 days to arrive. The are a fraction more expensive on Amazon but you do get free next day delivery with Prime. It may seem expensive but it’s very well made and does make a great espresso.
