The girl in red pantyhose

Three bells rang in the village church and Marieta pressed the revealing paper she had just read against her chest. A black tear rolled down her pale cheek.

She ran down the street, for she knew she had to get there in time to interrupt the ceremony.

As she ran she took off her stiletto heels so she could go faster. The red pantyhose with bows covered her legs, the black mini-skirt with glitter and the cleavage on her back were reminders of the party Marieta had been to the night before.

As she ran, under the fine morning breeze, Marieta remembered what happened the night before. She was at a reunion with her college friends, they were at a fancy cafe that just opened in town and she was a little anxious because her boyfriend was not arriving. It was 7 o'clock at night and the girl went out of the café to see if he was outside.

As she did not find him among the people lining up at the door to get in, Marieta decided to go to his house to find out if everything was all right, as the boy was not answering the phone. When Marieta approached her boyfriend's house, he was passionately kissing another girl goodbye.

Marieta put her hands to her mouth to hide her expressions of anger and annoyance. When the girl left, she decided to face her boyfriend's traitor. She knocked on the door and he very smiling, opened the door thinking that the girl had forgotten something. When she saw Marieta's annoyed face she got scared.

He wanted to apologize and make Marieta understand that he tried to tell her that he was engaged to another woman but she always interrupted him. Marieta was so upset and so disappointed in herself, that she ended up saying a curse to him:

-You can never be happy. For every tear I have shed for you, you will have a disappointment in life," the girl repeated in a broken voice that made the young man freeze.

Marieta turned around and when she had taken a few steps away the boy shouted at her: -I curse you Marieta, you will never again be able to do what you love most in life which is to drink coffee- -I curse you Marieta, you will never again be able to do what you love most in life which is to drink coffee-.

Marieta stopped for a second, let out a laugh and made it clear that her words had been blown away by the wind.

-He had a whole engagement to get married tomorrow and he was just playing with me, what would he do after he got married? Continue to see me? - Marieta repeated to herself between laughter and tears.

She fell asleep on the sofa in her living room, crying and heartbroken, thinking that the next day everything would be calmer.

When she woke up it was very late, she hadn't changed out of the party clothes she wore the night before but if she didn't hurry she would miss her final test at the university.

He ran out the door, stopped at the coffee shop on the corner to buy an espresso to give him the strength to make it through what promised to be a tough day.

He asked for his order to go and in the middle of the way he went to take a sip of his coffee but the liquid did not enter his mouth. Her taste buds could not reach the flavor of the precious liquid, indeed, she could not even smell it.

Marieta shuddered as she remembered the curse of the night before. She didn't stop the accelerated march she was taking but tried and tried to taste her coffee and couldn't. She felt sad, hurt and very sad. She felt sad, hurt and very hurt. Even more hurt than by the boy's betrayal.

She looked at her watch and she still had 45 minutes before her test was due to start. So she decided to stop by the gypsy's tent on the boardwalk to ask for help. The gypsy consulted the great oracle and with white eyes from the trance wrote on a piece of paper the recommendation to Marieta and handed it to her.

The girl trembled with adrenaline and read the note that read: as they both pronounced a curse, the pact became strong and was fulfilled. To reverse it you must go and interrupt that marriage. That girl is a fortune house and will only destroy the life of that young man. Help him to get rid of the suffering and you will have your precious coffee again.

Marieta left running on her way to the church, when she entered she shouted: I oppose and automatically she could perceive the delicious aroma of the espresso she was carrying in her hands.
