Los que me conocen saben que me gusta tomar café y que lo prefiero bien caliente y sin azúcar. El gusto por esta bebida tan aromática ha sido una herencia familiar, pues crecí recorriendo algunas hectáreas sembradas de café y viendo todo el proceso de recolección de granos, el trillado y todo el trabajo hasta llevarlo a tostar. Mi memoria olfativa tiene impregnado el olor a café tostado que se percibía por toda la casa de mi abuela paterna en un pueblo del estado Sucre.
Those who know me know that I like to drink coffee and that I prefer it hot and without sugar. My taste for this aromatic beverage has been a family inheritance, since I grew up traveling through some hectares planted with coffee and seeing the whole process of harvesting the beans, the threshing and all the work that goes into roasting. My olfactory memory is impregnated with the smell of roasted coffee that was perceived throughout my paternal grandmother's house in a town in the state of Sucre.
En mi casa, no falta el café, en granos o en paquetes ya molido y para comenzar el día, no hay mejor forma que degustando una generosa taza de café negro bien caliente que nos dé la energía para asumir nuestras actividades cotidianas.
In my house, there is no lack of coffee, either in beans or in already ground packages, and to start the day, there is no better way than tasting a generous cup of hot black coffee that gives us the energy to take on our daily activities.
En esta ocasión, quiero compartir con ustedes algunas fotografías de nuestro molino de café en acción. Este es uno de los momentos que más disfruto porque me trae muchos recuerdos de mi niñez y de mi adolescencia. A mi esposo y a mí nos gusta mucho tener en casa café en granos y molerlo para tenerlo recién molido, fresco y oloroso. El aroma que desprenden los granos es sublime y desde ese momento, comienza nuestro ritual del café.
On this occasion, I would like to share with you some photographs of our coffee grinder in action. This is one of the moments I enjoy the most because it brings back many memories of my childhood and adolescence. My husband and I love to have coffee beans at home and grind them to have freshly ground, fresh and fragrant coffee. The aroma that the beans give off is sublime and from that moment on, our coffee ritual begins.
Después que tenemos todo el café molido, vamos a la preparación. Para esto lo hacemos de varias formas: unas veces en la cafetera, otras con la greka o, la más frecuente, con el colador.
After we have all the ground coffee, we go to the preparation. For this we do it in several ways: sometimes in the coffee pot, other times with the greka or, the most frequent, with the strainer.
Definitivamente, es un verdadero placer tomar café recién molido para comenzar el día.
Definitely, it is a real pleasure to drink freshly ground coffee to start the day.
