Coffee Chronicles: The Hidden Messages In Your Cup.

Ever heard the adage that says actions speaks louder than voice? I am of the opinion that words do not really say more of the kind of people we are until certain action reveals it all.

Take for instance, the way we dress, to an average degree can give an insight to the kind of job we do and tell our personal style and mood.

The environment of our house can tell if we are clean people or not, bringing it down to our blog here on Hive, by reading a few article or story from a Hiver you can tell their interest, hobbies, culture and the list goes on.

In a similar vein, I believe that the way someone drinks coffee can give an insight into who they are as people, here are my reasons.

I have a friend whose name is Imade, I got to know a lot about her through her coffee-drinking habit, she was more of a perfectionist when it comes to her coffee, she likes precise measurement and temperature and anything short of it or less of it was a huge turn off for her, a sneak peek to her coffee routine made me realize that she was one who paid attention to detail and one who was sensitive, which made me extra careful around her.

I believe one who loves to have coffee alone give an insight as to how they cherishes solitude more while one who loves to have coffee with friends reveals their social and interactive nature.

Some people do not care about their coffee brewing machine, they just jump right on it and brew it right away without taking a moment to clean it, if i am asked to tell a little about them chances are I'll say they either have a busy lifestyle or they prioritise convenience over hygiene or they might be the kind of people who are just in for immediate gratification rather than the long term benefits.

For those who enjoy their coffee in the morning, chances are they are the morning type who needs to kick-start their day on an energetic mode.

Some people meditate while taking their coffee, for me it gives an insight as to how they practice mindfulness while others just take their coffee on the go.

The way a person handles a coffee spill can also give an insight as to how they handle a bad day, it also gives an insight to their tolerance level, and their ability to handle pressure or unexpected situations.

There are some who likes to try different brewing methods, it gives an insight to how adventurous they are and there desire to explore, flexibility and their desire to try new things at any opportunity they get which shows their open-mindedness.

From the way people drink their coffee you can tell if they are simple, a sweet tooth and even indecisive, and the list goes on, but it takes one who is very observant to figure it out too.

I could just go on a coffee date with someone and get an insight to who they are, although my assumption might not be 100% correct but I will be right on a couple of them, as our actions often reflect who we are on the inside.

I am still of the opinion that little things in life count and every action speaks volume of who we are on the inside without words, you possibly cannot give what you don't have , so likewise you can't practice what doesn't resonate with your very being.
