Happy Thursday to my coffee-loving friends, I had not forgotten you and much less coffee, but as many of you already know, my vacation is over and going back to the office and having to organize myself to do my work and write my publications for HIVE, is not an easy task, not to mention that at home there is always, always something to do, but nothing, you get organized and you can do what you want and if those activities are accompanied by a delicious cup of coffee, well, you do them with the best disposition.
¡Feliz jueves a mis amigos amantes del café!, no los tenía olvidados y al café mucho menos, pero como ya muchos de ustedes saben, mis vacaciones terminaron y el volver a la oficina y tener que organizarse para realizar mis labores y redactar mis publicaciones para HIVE, no es tarea fácil, sin olvidar que además en casa siempre, siempre hay algo que hacer, pero nada, uno se organiza y se logra realizar lo que se desea y si esas actividades van acompañadas de una deliciosa taza de café, pues uno las realiza con la mejor disposición.
A few weeks ago I told you that in a store next to the building where I work there is a store that sells a great variety of brands of coffee, which I have not tried, which will give me the opportunity to try other brands that may become an option in the case of not finding my favorite, in the same way as in the office I have coworkers who love coffee, as much as I do, conversations have arisen regarding their favorite brands, so following one of their suggestions I bought this coffee, of which I will share my personal impression.
The first thing I want to tell you is a funny anecdote, as it turns out that when several colleagues are involved in the conversation, they tend to confuse the names of the brands of coffee and obviously each one has their favorite, so buying this one that I will share with you, involved practically taking one of the colleagues to the store, as some said it was called La Patrona and others La Protectora, on the other hand, there was also discrepancy between their colors, and as until a while ago that coffee was called La Pastoreña you can imagine the confusion.
Now, I presume that the company changed ownership and among the changes was that of the name of the coffee, since the striking colors and the image of the Virgin of the Divine Shepherdess are still present on the packaging.
Lo primero que les quiero contar es una anécdota graciosa, pues resulta que al ser varios compañeros los que se involucran en la conversación, se tienden a confundir los nombres de las marcas de café y obviamente cada uno tiene su favorito, así que comprar este que les compartiré, implicó prácticamente llevar a una de las compañeras a la tienda, pues unos decían que se llamaba La Patrona y otros La Protectora, por otra parte, también había discrepancia entre sus colores, y como hasta hace un tiempo ese café llevaba por nombre La Pastoreña se imaginaran la confusión.
Ahora bien, presumo que la empresa cambió de dueño y entre los cambios vino el del nombre del café, pues los colores llamativos y la imagen de la Virgen de la Divina Pastora continúan presentes en el empaque.
On the other hand, speaking of the smell, which is one of the things that allows us to have the first impression of the coffee when uncovering it, this brand of coffee La Protectora has a penetrating smell that invades the senses, this already gives it a great positive point, in addition to the fact that unlike other brands, its presentation is of 250 grams instead of 200 grams, so it also presents us with an advantage.
As for color, as you can appreciate in the photographs, it is of a tone that lets us know that the bean was not burned during the roasting process and that also allowed me to have a good first impression, but still lacked the test of fire the final result, but while waiting to try the coffee, already prepared the smell of coffee brewing, it was delicious.
Por otro lado, hablando del olor, que una de las cosas que nos permite tener la primera impresión del café al destaparlo, esta marca de café La Protectora posee un penetrante olor que invade los sentidos, eso ya le da un gran punto positivo, además de que a diferencia de otras marcas, su presentación es de 250 gramos en lugar de 200 gramos, así que allí también nos presenta una ventaja.
En cuanto a color, como pueden apreciar en las fotografías, es de un tono que nos permite saber que el grano no se quemó durante el proceso de tostado y eso también me permitió tener una primera buena impresión, pero aún faltaba la prueba de fuego el resultado final, pero mientras esperaba probar el café, ya preparado el olor del café colándose, era delicioso.
The moment of truth arrived, to taste the coffee already brewed, I can say from my perception, because in the end every coffee review or any other thing, always has a subjective opinion, because it depends on the tastes and inclinations of each person, in my particular case although the coffee has a good flavor, I feel at the end a bitter touch, which is not to my liking and tends to stay in my mouth, as it is reinforced by the acidity that I sometimes suffer from because I suffer from gastritis; So although it is an option to acquire if I don't get my favorite, I will continue trying other brands of coffee, besides I don't know about you, but I love to try new products, sometimes they give us pleasant surprises.
Llegó el momento de la verdad, probar el café ya colado, puedo decir desde mi percepción, pues al final cada revisión de café o de cualquier otra cosa, siempre tiene una opinión subjetiva, pues depende de los gustos e inclinaciones de cada quien, en mi caso particular aunque el café tiene buen sabor, le siento al final un toque amargo, que no es mi agrado y que tiende a quedarse en mi boca, ya que se ve reforzado por la acidez de la que a veces sufro por padecer gastritis; así que aunque es una opción para adquirir si no consigo mi favorito, seguiré probando otras marcas de café, además de que no sé a ustedes, pero a mí me encanta probar productos nuevos, a veces nos dan gratas sorpresas.
