this is my contribution to FungiFriday by ewkaw
though Amanita citrina are both common and inedible they have analluring enigmatic quality about them
that assures us
that magic happens here and if you stay long enough you shall certainly witness it
this boletus for example
or a chanterelle posturing as a flower
though sometimes you must stop and drop to your knees
to really see it
they are everywhere
some shining
while filling the air with the silence
of golden trumpets so lighthearted and fantastical
or while painting the duff
perhaps substantial
and hefty
or with the unexpected.
but let us not overlook the lush verdant mossy
pioneers in the force of life
yes, let us fill our basket. it is october in askeskogen
