we were visiting Alicante, Spain during Christmas and were out walking in the evening looking for a restaurant that was open. most were closed for the holiday so it took some searching. while we were walking on san francisco street suddenly
we came upon all these Amanita muscaria sculptures in the middle of the road.
most of them had a long funny face on the stem and fantastical little creatures on the hats. there were larvae
giant ants
snails and more
and there were lots of them. the Christmas lighting was great too.
there were even a couple of smaller ones that you could go inside-
we never even imagined such a delightful place could exist. we had been walking all day and were hungry so we didn't stay long
but of course we came back in the daytime and played liked children with these wonderful creations
