[K-drama] Mr. Sunshine Review & OST ( The story of heroes that were a little different )

In the 19th century, learned yangban families and officials had a clear identity for Joseon, so the anti-Japanese movement would have been justice.

However, was it a proud country that Joseon at the time wanted to protect even for the people who were busy and hungry to live a day?

There couldn't even be a concept like that.

Certainly at the time, tremendous taxes and lives were ruined by the sedo politics, and civil wars were occurring everywhere, but hatred for Joseon must have existed.

If even that is taken away by Japan, it will fall into hell, and there will be a mixture of desperate needs.

For such people, Joseon is a love and hate.

I think I wanted to see the desperate need to save someone I hate, a country, or something.

And Mr. Sunshine I saw by chance.

A drama about what happened when a boy who fell to the United States while boarding a warship during Shin Miyangyo (1871) returned to Korea and stationed in Korea, the country of which he abandoned himself as an American soldier.

It really caught my taste.

I had already foreseen a hit from this time on.

Writer Kim Eun-sook is childishly acquainted with the overblown lines that are familiar to the bouncing lines. There are many times that didn't match me, but there weren't a bit of a cliché.

When this era, which is handled only heavy and tragic, mixed with her wit, it was a combination of fantasy and wondered.

I very much welcome the way you naturally unravel heavy topics, but I had the belief that if you were an artist Eun-sook Kim, you would try not to leave only tears in order not to miss out on the fun.

I even respect her ability.

A work that I was happy with as the settings I had only imagined became a reality

Many criticized the casting because of the actor's personal life, but the job did not ruin the work.

And, as expected, Kim Eun-sook's characters were hot and attractive.

Therefore, the dialogues were also full of wit, and even though the times were heavy, they could be seen smiling and succeeded in showing various conflicts up to the final chapter.

Like a drama during the Japanese colonial period, there are also lines that stir up patriotism.

( his is a country that has been around for 500 years. During those five hundred years, there were many wars and wars.

Every time that happened, someone would risk their life to protect it.

Such Joseon is being torn apart peacefully.

First Qing (China), then Arrasa (Russia), now Japan, and now the US Army.

This is what the country looks like, shouldn't someone fight?

Reasons for patriotism are summarized.

Because someone would have protected them even when they wanted to leave

There was a time when the word “Hell Joseon” was often seen in internet news articles.

In fact, it depends on how you feel, but there have been few times when this country has been prosperous.

The hard times were more frequent and longer than those of the prime time.

If there was no money or the lower class, it was always hell.

Nevertheless, it would be better to struggle than to give up living here today.

Don't complain that it's Hell, you don't have to, because sometimes Hell comes into your life.

Who lives in the Joseon Dynasty that you are trying to save?

Can beggars live? Can slaves live?

Koo Dong-mae and Choi Yu-jin's low-level origins were among those who did not benefit from Joseon.

Since he was treated unfairly, the renunciation chosen by Koo Dong-mae even seemed reasonable.

Still, it seems that the country cannot be abandoned.

The life he lived after chasing money and power is devoted to the passion of others who raise their guns to save the country.

Eugene also does not hesitate to sacrifice her for the step of her homeland, where she has no attachment.

I think it was a refreshing riot.

The one who was most neglected boasts a genuine dignity towards the established vested interests who threw themselves away without ridiculing the country's negligence.

Of course, nonetheless, since the characters in the play are not the kind of people who suffer, all personal resentments have been repaid with pleasure.

For that reason, it is an honor to be united with those names.

I thought that Kim Hee-seong's character might have been inspired by poet Yun Dong-ju.

Of course, Kim Hee-seong was not portrayed as a poet in the play, but she felt that way when she knew the power of her writing and felt helpless due to her shame.

She was such a character who couldn't pursue her own happiness on top of her tears of blood shed by others.

He hides his anguish behind a vague laugh, like a pitiful clown.

The sound of the clock stopped in his last scene was impressive.

Have you been freed from guilt?

The clock sounds like his guilt

Eugene

If you let it go, you can live with flowers.
In my memory, all the women in the scholar-gentry class used to live like that.

aeshin

I am a flower, but I am a flame.
It is brightly hot and is about to turn off, with a flame.
I'm afraid to die, but I chose to do so.

Another novelty that I liked about this drama is the female characters.

Since the 2010s, the active female image has become a trend in dramas as the main characters are capable and smart female protagonists.

Now, if the female protagonist only receives the help of the male protagonist, her charm is not there, and if she does not have any contribution to solving the case, she loses even her legitimacy as her heroine.

Still, in historical dramas and period dramas, that level is generous.

Unless it's a fusion historical drama, if the female protagonist reacts and claims with a modern sensibility, the identity of the play will be shaken.

Sunshine (Mr. Sunshine) convincingly depicts female protagonists who can protect themselves and are strong in their assertions, making good use of the limitations of the times in their personal narratives, while also naturally melting the results of breaking through them.

A character like Kudo Hina is a beauty from all sides, with outstanding beauty, collecting information, and even fighting power without being discouraged in front of any opponent.

However, Kudo Hina, played by Kim Min-jung, is more active in her role and personality, and her force is overwhelmingly drawn.

The dialogue supports the character well, and the tone played by Kim Min-jung perfectly completes her character.

Ko Ae-shin, too, does not look stylish just by holding a gun, but her clear conviction and refined speech make the three men justify the courtship result with every step she takes.

There I am not waiting for you

Although he is a strong person, the loneliness and loneliness of the past are buried at once.

I really sympathized with the words that her brother-in-law and Hina's relationship is difficult to define.

In a YouTube video of the two of them together, it was an amazing arrangement that someone left a comment to call it friendship, and wasn't sure it was love.

Was it even possible to say 'I've been waiting for you all this time'?

Other than that, I don't have the strength to talk anymore, but these were the lines that contained the subject that the author wanted to appeal the most.

When he wears a suit and covers his face, he has neither a face nor a name, only a medical soldier.

The drama has been implicitly delivering a message from the beginning to remember the soldiers who have not even left their names.

I think it was a line that showed the cross section of that part well.

It was a dazzling day.

We were all fireworks and blooming hot.

And try to rise again.

With the fire left by comrades

Goodbye, comrades.

See you again in an independent country.
