It really is a pity that the politicans occupying the highest places in the leading governments are accepting the inflation and are acting almost as resigned as ever to it - opposed to fighting and battling it. And it pisses me off to see just what grave levels of incompetence the leading people are showing.
And no, I am not speaking only about mr. Biden's frankly catastrophic rule of the USA since he took power, I am also speaking about the gross incompetence that the leading politicans of the EU are showing in regards with the conflict in Ukraine.
What we have now are a set of sanctions imposed on Russia by the leading world countries - and by leading, I mean pushed by the USA and embraced by the EU states - that was supposed to hinder and 'break' the Russian economy.
On the contrary though, it is the backbone of the European economic policies that have been put to the test - and a lot of them failed and are still failing miserably.
One litre of diesel at the moment of writing costs 199 Serbian Dinars (1,69 €), one litre of petrol at the moment of writing costs 177 Serbian Dinars (1,54 €).
Is this the new reality that we seemingly must accept? Paying 1,5 € for a litre of fuel on a minimum monthly wage of 400 €?
Horrendous. Cynical. Absolutely devoid of any logic. And yes, a lot of the stronger economies have been hit hard as well - but it is always the not-so-developed countries like the Balkan countries in this instance that will feel the crisis in full effect and will have to tackle the difficulties head-on.
So basically.. no matter the perspective you have for the war, be it your opinion to be pro-Russia or pro-Ukraine - if you happen to be living in an under-developed country in Europe, you are royally screwed.
