Possessed - The Next Part Of Just Down The Road

Eyes flashing a glowing red, Don whispered angrily "I was so close! Taspirin, soon you will be free! Together we will find the rest of the legion! I swear it to Lucifer!"

Don, or Belazarkin as he had been known, was disgusted with himself. He should have just grabbed Greg and dragged him to the enlarged fox den. The prison where he and Taspirin had been trapped for over two thousand years. He slammed his math book onto the coffee table with a load smack.

"Is everything okay in there, boys?" called Mom from the kitchen.

"Yes Mom, I was just killing a spider with my math book! I know how they scare you."

"Thank you Don, you are always so considerate!"

Don smirked. He loved playing the perfect son, all the while arranging for things to go terribly wrong. He would have to remember to turn a tarantula loose on her head the next time he caught her taking a nap.

"Maybe when Taspirin is free I will regain more of my powers... I can't go on like this! I am the leader of Lucifer's top legion! REDUCED TO CHILD'S PRANKS!!!"

Don didn't need to sleep, so he could finish the math later. Instead he sat there remembering how he got into this mess. "I should have stayed far away from Jesus!"

Belazarkin (now known as Don) and his legion were partying in a couple of guys at the urging of Lucifer. All was well, until Jesus showed up and drove him and his army out.

They all begged to be allowed to inhabit a herd of pigs, and Jesus allowed it. Belazarkin had planned to kill his hog, then try to possess a herd boy. Apparently his followers had the same idea.

But it backfired! Once the herd was dead, he and Taspirin found themselves trapped in that little hole! "And to make matters worse, He surrounded the area with a feeling of foreboding!"

When Don had returned the first time, it almost drove even him away. He never could understand how the three-year-old child had fearlessly crawled into the hole.

Jesus had weaved a mixture of light and sound waves, invisible to humans but very effective at altering their mood. While their free will certainly allowed them to enter if they chose, the warning was clear.

Digging through the real Don's memories Belazarkin knew exactly how the toddler had ended up there, but never discovered why except maybe curiousity. He decided to replay the scene in his mind yet again.

"It's noon, let's take Midnight Street! Get it, 12?" she laughed. His mom, still relatively new to Waq Waq City after only living there for four years, still loved to explore the side roads with her small family.

Humoring her, Dad took her free hand, and the three strolled down the quiet road. "How about that road, Casey? It looks interesting, and there's no sign."

"It's a back entrance to a large property with a small house on it. The owner is Mr. Freson. I'll take you to see the old place sometime. But nobody takes that road unless they drive through. I'll tell you why the next time we go camping. It's a campfire tale if there ever was one!"

"Why hello Diane! I didn't know you lived on Midnight - your smile is always so sunny!"

Dad, seeing the ladies settle in for a long chat, went into the garage where Diane's husband was building a canoe.

The only one who wasn't happy was poor Don. His mom's firm grasp on his hand was hot and uncomfortable. And he couldn't move around or even sit. Slowly he wriggled his hand loose, then crept away before she could notice that he was free.

Deciding to go home where he knew there would be toys waiting, he backtracked as far as the old road. That place did look interesting!

It wasn't difficult for a curious toddler to find the hole and crawl in. Belazarkin instantly possessed Don, then Taspirin tried to enter. For some reason it didn't work, so Belazarkin vowed to return with an extra host.

Belazarkin then waited where he knew he would be seen. Planning to lure whoever found him into the hole, he stayed as close to his former prison as possible.

Dad appeared on Midnight Street and spotted him. Before he could get back to the den, Belazarkin was scooped up.

He had returned many times - both to try to free Taspirin and to lure a victim. So far nothing had worked... But that little tree was a stroke of genius! It should at least get Greg close enough. "This time he won't escape!" Said Don, grinning widely.

This is a 100% power up post
