Jack felt like he needed a break from all the hassles in his life. He picked up his phone and dialed a number.
"I'd like to buy a plane ticket to your furthest destination today".
One could tell the surprise in the woman's voice.
"I'm sorry sir, is there any particular location you'd wish to go to?"
Jack spoke softly, "no dear, just somewhere very far far away" he said.
"That would be Nigeria sir. That's our farthest destination for today" the lady replied.
"Nigeria, well that's not bad at all. Put me on the plane then, first class please".
After he sought out everything that needed soughting, Jack heaved a sigh. He got into his car and headed for the airport with nothing. That was the whole point, to go on a journey with nothing but himself and his master card of course.
He arrived at the airport thirty minutes early and so he decided to just board the plane and wait. His seat was reserved near a very pretty lady.
They got talking and had a hearty conversation but unfortunately they couldn't exchange numbers because he didn't have his phone on him.
After about three hours, they arrived at the destination. Lucky for him, he met some people who spoke English. He exchanged his dollars to naira and got a place to lodge for the night. Over the night, he thought of exploring Nigeria deeper and he made a journey the next day to Oyo state, Nigeria and that's where his whole misery began.
No one understood him, they were just staring at him like a monument. He felt really uncomfortable there. It was his first time hearing such a language. It was very undiluted and coarse. It seemed like the people spoke with all the energy they had in them and they weren't smiling at all.
He was a foreigner in a black man's city. He managed to pass the night there after trying his best to relate with people and they weren't responding. As an explorer, he made it a point of duty to pierce through these people's hearts and socialize with them, no matter how long it took.
His journey was cut short when he was told that he had an urgent issue to handle at the office. He boarded the next plan back home, but he was not done yet. It wasn't over yet and he'd be back for more.
His journey wasn't totally worth it but it helped relieve a little stress, back to reality Jack.
