Black-Honey Shrub

Namaste!

This is my entry for the POB Photo Contest. I came to know about this contest from a post published by @melinda010100 2 days ago.

If I had gone out of the house, I would have shared pictures of mango, coconut, or watermelon only because these three are my favourites in summer. Still, since I have not gone to the market for 2-3 days, I took these pictures a few days ago during my evening walk with my OnePlus Phone, so I thought of making a blog on this.

So this whole plant or shrub is known as Black-Honey Its berry-like fruits are borne in clusters. However, I still have a little doubt whether this berry-like fruit is edible or not, but not every fruit needs to be edible, some fruits have many other benefits.

For example, while reading about this plant, I came to know that it is traditionally used in making natural hair colour that lasts longer and has no bad effects. For a few moments, I felt like I was Bear Grylls, and I even got to taste this fruit. 😝

And its taste was not very good but it was not very strange or bad either. The taste of this fruit seemed more sour than sweet to me and it was also a little bit bitter, although one reason for this could be that the fruit I tasted was not completely ripe.

I tried a little to gather information about this fruit but apart from hair color and some medicinal uses, I could not find anything about its fruits.

One of my brother-like friend @mulik369 comes from the same place in India where this plant is found the most, I hope if he knows anything about it then he will definitely tell us. :)

That's all for today's blog.

I hope you liked my Phone Photography! :)
