Bread pakora recipe

Hello Foodies!

Break Pakoras are a perfect Rainy Sunday morning breakfast and are made of potato spice mix and Bread. It requires some of the basic Indian spices which add to the taste. You can also choose to make it Italian way by adding Italian spices like herbs and oregano in place of Indian spices. This can be accommodated to suit anybody’s taste buds.

Fried food is considered good for consumption in the rainy season because bacterial growth is very fast during rains and normal food gets contaminated very easily. But frying kills the bacteria and hence the food is safer to eat. But do burn those extra calories with exercise and gymming.

Ingredients

Method

Step 1: Boil potatoes in a closed pan for about 15 minutes. Let them cool and then peel off the skin.
Step 2: Mash the potatoes. Add salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, and carrom seeds to the mashed potato and give it a nice mix to get a consistent mixture.
Step 3: Take another bowl, add gram flour, salt, and red chili powder and form a paste by adding some water. Make sure it’s not too leaky and not too thick.
Step 4: Take 2 bread slices, fill the potato mix between them, and cut them into 2 equal halves.
Step 5: Heat oil in a deep pan. Dip each bread in the gram flour fix and put in the hot oil for frying until golden brown.

Serve the bread pakoras with mint chutney and tamarind chutney, They are delicious!
