A habit to get rid off at the earliest

A lot of us are obsessed with the word NO. We use it so often, sometimes unconsciously as well. We find refusing the easiest way to approach things, especially those we don't like.

But have you ever thought that this has become a habit? Saying NO is so easy that we just don't want to try. It's the art of keeping away from stress. But you never know, you might be inviting a lot of it for yourself by constantly saying NO.

We cannot be productive if we hold on to a lot of tasks, that's a fact for sure. But how much is too much? We never do this quantitative analysis for ourselves and just keep believing that we have too much on our plate and say NO to new things.

New things bring opportunities; a ray of hope; a new path; new beginnings. Saying NO closes that all. And all we end up doing is breathing in the cage of monotony that we have created for ourselves.

"If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with rain." - Dolly Parton

Sometimes it happens that we don't want to say NO, we might want to do things but we end up saying NO based on our instinct. Now that's a habit. When you refuse to do things without proper analysis, it is a habit. You just start enjoying saying NO to things because it invites less trouble. We don't realize that's just for now. When we say NO to things we are actually inviting more trouble for ourselves.

The habit of NO also comes when we prioritize our tasks and want to stick to them. We kind of avoid the good in the hope of great. But great is never certain, is it?

We need to get rid of the habit of saying NO. It's one of those habits which is easy to form but difficult to get rid of. But if it persists, it is very harmful.

"Bad habits are like a comfortable bed. Easy to get into but hard to get out." - TM Quotes
