Lucky Charms Pancake Mix. ![IMG_8893.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/generikat/23xemxbqrvZxf8diKW4jpQ7yBoN3H9iTr6EQyfKGXzXRAYc7m1CcauRrw3js8ZPkytYn1.jpg) After laughing out loud and startling the poor elderly lady who as studying the cans of baked beans across the aisle, I plucked the box of cereal-infused pancake mix off of the shelf for a bit of a perusal. Being a frugal soul and a homesteader, I tend to make most of our food from scratch. That said, there has been a surplus of heathens present in my house most weekends, and whipping up pancakes for 6-8 kids on Saturday or Sunday mornings has been a thing. As a kid we didn't get to eat a lot of convenience foods, a thing I am not sad about, but there were times I would have liked to try things. I mean come on, when you are a kid Lucky Charms look *magically delicious*. Also, the box of Lucky Charms Pancake mix was a whole $.50. So, I tossed it into the cart with my organic cocoa nibs and toasted macadamia nuts and giggled in anticipation of the Bruhs all taste testing the processed food gloriousness. ![IMG_8891.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/generikat/23tvAS9EEY3UTtkBNVQ7Ep5yk5GWiTtnR1CMU94CQqrjyoXxj52T416ZpoCFKJeG4q1xV.jpg)*This is my little buddy Finn, he also got to sleepover:)* As fate would have it, my daughter also had a friend stay over, so I had a ton of kids around Saturday morning to try the pancakes. Seeing as I was going to foster Corporate America pancake concoctions on them for breakfast, I had one of the kids head out to the freezer and get out some packs of our homegrown bacon and sausage. They looked pretty happy as I cooked up those lovely pork products. To be honest, it looked just like regular pancake mix. I added some milk and water and whisked it up.
