My daughter has been getting several auditions with Uniqlo & GU recently and I was tasked with getting her to the auditions as my wife has been busy.
She has modeled for brands that Uniqlo featured, like Spy Family, and just this week we learned she got her first GU job. In addition Uniqlo is having her back again today for a third audition.
There are two branches for Uniqlo, one in Akasaka, the other in Ariake. The Akasaka office is quite nice and on the 33rd floor of a skyscraper. Aside from the nice interior, the views of the city are wonderful
The site over in Ariake isn't as nice. It's almost like a massive warehouse were the hands on work is done.
This is where all the product design and fashion shoots are done. Rooms full of clothing for the coming seasons are seen as you walk through the halls.
There were also a lot of foreign models and workers here. So much so it almost felt like I was back in the States. However, as you can see in the above photo, it's very cold. It's not an inspiring environment. I'd much rather be over in the Akasaka office where in the winter I can take my daughter to the ice skating rink outside, but that's a story for another day.
