Deck Garden Photos

This year we scaled back the garden on our deck. While the results in past years were always beautiful and quite eye pleasing the amount of up keep was becoming quite a burden. We live in a drier climate so the plants always required a lot of watering anyway. With the intense and above average heat we have experienced this summer the watering requirements have become even greater.

None the less we still have some color to enjoy in the cool of the morning or later evening. I would venture to say the little guy in the pictures below is enjoying this flower for a whole different reason. 😀



If you look close at some of the petals near the center you can see some of the yellow specks of pollen he is probably gorging on.

And the following pictures show a sampling of the rest of our color bonanza on our deck. It is definitely a smaller display than normal for us but still quite a sensory pleasure for us to enjoy. 😀
