A new attraction in the city has come up. The Oman Snow Park. For people living in this side of the world this type of a place is a big fascination. Not everyone can travel around the world to see the different landscapes and experience the different types of climates, so such a place gives a little bit of a feeling of such places. The Snow Park was inaugurated on 24th and till 31st of Dec there is an offer of flat 50% discount on the tickets. I had visited the Snow Park in Dubai and the Oman one I can say is almost similar to it.
I did not visit the park from the inside, I just had a glimpse from the outside. When I visited the one in Dubai I could not stay inside for more then an hour, so I know that this is not my cup of tea. I may visit from inside some day, but for that I will go well prepared. They do give jackets and all the other gears required, but for myself may be I will need some extra layering if I would want to be inside for a longer duration. The good thing about the park is that one can see it from the outside also as it has glass walls from all the sides.
I could see that the place was maximum filled up with kids and they were enjoying the snow.

And from here you come down. Quite an excitement not only for the kids but for everyone.

There are lot of things to do in the park. There is a cable car ride also.
And a Ice skating ring
There is a Cafe as well in the park. I can see that in some ways it is better then the Dubai one.
The Ticket window had a long queue, it is flat 50% off on tickets so people want to make the most of it and also something new for everyone and the holiday season, so it is a good time to inaugurate the place.
When families visit Oman they feel that there is not much for children to do here, but in the last 2 years there has been some focus on this and now there are couple of indoor parks for children as well as an Aquarium and now the Snow Park. So this can keep the children engaged.
In the month of Feb one of my cousin will be visiting me with her kid, so probably I will get them here in that time and visit it myself also.
