Power resides everywhere, in all areas, it is finite and infinite, it is material and spiritual, absolutely everything is governed by power.

On this occasion I will address the Power of the Word, I want to focus on this that for a long time has called my attention.

Written Word

In the case of the written word, when we read a story full of emotional and exciting words, we will receive that dose in our being and we will be motivated and excited, as in the case of self-help books in their different presentations. On the contrary, we will be very apathetic, sad or melancholic, when reading sad or unmotivating stories continuously. I want to share an anecdote in this regard:

Three or four years ago in my country, the political, social, economic situation was in a total lack of control, and the press news was not encouraging at all, I was submerged in a kind of conformity, abandonment, stress, every day that passed I felt imprisoned in my own country without being able to do anything to change my situation and much less that of my beloved country, this feeling grew bigger every day with each news read (sometimes seen through TV and Internet). One day while reading the press, overflowing with bad news and despair, I got fed up and decided to isolate myself from the news, I avoided any contact with the press, newscasts, among others, and as if by magic in a week I was feeling better and in two weeks I started a business, I was able to achieve several goals that I thought were impossible because of the country's situation. The power of negativity in the words written through the different media had affected me in such a way that I was submissive to a decadent situation, I could only be free from that situation once I eliminated that content from my life. The disadvantage was that I had no knowledge of the daily happenings in my country, a price I am still willing to pay.

Spoken Word

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones. This is a passage located in the scripture Chapter 16 verse 24 of the book of Proverbs.

A good word generates health, well being, well said has the power to heal our soul and any condition or disease, and a bad word the opposite. I clarify that it depends on many factors, but as a very fresh example, we have the case of this pandemic, where many people got sick and had a lethal end due to fear and the information generated in the media that was not encouraging, and others overcame it without knowing that they were infected.

Another very unfortunate example is the case of a very cheerful and charismatic person who had stomach cancer but did not know it, she only felt a little discomfort and thought it was gastritis, her countenance was beautiful, but she had a medical checkup for work reasons and something went wrong, she had to undergo several tests and was diagnosed with the disease. Her countenance changed completely, she stopped laughing, she stopped being that happy and charismatic person, although she still felt the same physically, emotionally she was destroyed, those words said by the doctor on duty invaded her with fear and uncertainty, that same week she was hospitalized and soon after she died.

I don't want to leave just a sad medical story, let me tell you this one with a happy ending: Esther is a former co-worker who had a son with medical problems, at a very young age he was diagnosed with Leukemia and was given a short time to live, however, Esther treated her normal son as if he did not have any condition or disease. The boy grew up hearing positive words from his mother, "you are a healthy boy", "you are a strong and healthy boy", things like that, when they went to the doctor she said it was routine and normal. The doctors were surprised because even though the leukemia was still in the boy's body, he seemed to be free of it, it did not affect him at all, and he was still undergoing treatment. This boy was always surrounded by good words, he had a normal education, he was a good student, he graduated from high school, he went to an aviation academy and today he is an airplane pilot with a healthy person certificate, he defeated the disease. I would like to think that the power of his mother's positive words from a very early age had a lot to do with it.

Generally speaking

Now, many studies have shown that words affect our organism depending on the intentional charge they have, as well as in plants, animals and even water.

If we search online we will see many experiments where two seeds of the same plant are placed or sown, and in the course of its growth one of them is told beautiful, motivating, cheerful words, with good tone and the other one the opposite, the result is a healthy plant and another dry or stunned one plunged in backwardness. The same result was obtained by placing words written on papers and placed on the plants.

Another well-known experiment is the one carried out by the Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto, which consisted of saying loving, happy and motivating words to some drops of water, while to others he said words of hate, sadness, fears, then they were observed through a microscope to see the evolution of their crystals. The results obtained were beautiful and well-defined crystals with the drops of water subjected to good words, and amorphous, abstract crystals, with certain chaos and without definition in the drops subjected to bad words. The same result was obtained with papers written with good or bad words, adhered to test tubes with water.

The human body is 60 percent water, the brain is 70 percent water, the blood is 80 percent water, and the lungs are 90 percent water. There is no doubt that the word has an influential power on us.

If we talk about politics, they have dedicated a lot of work and effort to achieve a language that influences voters and beyond the spoken word also influence with body language and image, but that is another topic.

The power of the word is a very broad topic and has a lot of fabric to cut, but unquestionably we are affected by it, a word builds or destroys us, just as we can build or destroy with our words, so we must be careful in the way we address our fellows, also to our fellow animals and plants, to everything around us.

Power resides in everything and The Word has Power.

El poder reside en todas partes, en todos los ámbitos, es finito e infinito, es material y espiritual, absolutamente todo está regido por el poder.

En esta ocasión abordaré el Poder de la Palabra, quiero enfocarme en esto que por mucho tiempo ha llamado mi atención.

Palabra Escrita

En el caso de la palabra escrita, cuando leemos una historia llena de palabras emotivas y emocionantes, recibiremos esa dosis en nuestro ser y estaremos motivados y emocionados, como en el caso de los libros de autoayuda en sus diferentes presentaciones. Por el contrario, estaremos muy apáticos, tristes o melancólicos, al leer continuamente historias tristes o nada motivadoras. Quiero compartir una anécdota al respecto:

Hace unos tres o cuatro años en mi país la situación política, social, económica, estaba en un sin control total, y las noticias de prensa no eran nada alentadoras, yo me sumí en una especie de conformidad, abandono, estrés, cada día que pasaba me sentía preso en mi propio país sin poder hacer nada para cambiar mi situación y mucho menos la de mi amado país, esta sensación se agrandaba cada día con cada noticia leída (en ocasiones vista a través de TV e Internet). Un día mientras leía la prensa, desbordada de malas noticias y desesperanza, me harté y decidí aislarme de noticia, evite contacto alguno con prensas, noticieros, entre otros, y como por arte de magia en una semana me estaba sintiendo mejor y en dos semanas empecé un emprendimiento, pude lograr varios objetivos que pensé eran imposibles por la situación país. El poder de la negatividad en las palabras escritas a través de los diferentes medios me había afectado de tal forma que me tenían sumiso a una situación decadente, solo alcancé ser libre de esa situación una vez que eliminé ese contenido de mi vida. La desventaja era que no tenía conocimiento del acontecer diario de mi país, un precio que aun estoy dispuesto a pagar.

Palabra Oral

Panal de miel son las palabras agradables, dulces al alma y salud para los huesos. Este es un pasaje ubicado en las escrituras Capítulo 16 versículo 24 del libro de Proverbios.

Una buena palabra nos genera salud, bienestar, bien dicha tiene el poder de sanarnos el alma y alguna afección o enfermedad, y una mala palabra todo lo contrario. Aclaro que depende de muchos factores, pero como ejemplo muy fresco tenemos el caso de esta pandemia, donde muchas personas se enfermaron y tuvieron un fin letal por el miedo y la información generada en los medios nada alentadoras, y otros la superaron sin saber que estaban infectados.

Otro ejemplo muy lamentable también, es el caso de una persona muy alegre y carismática que tenía cáncer de estómago pero no lo sabía, solo sentía una pequeña molestia y pensaba que era gastritis, su semblante era hermoso, pero tuvo un chequeo médico por cuestiones de trabajo y algo salió mal, tuvo que realizarse varios exámenes y le diagnosticaron esa enfermedad. Su semblante cambió totalmente, dejó de reír, dejó de ser esa persona feliz y carismática, aunque se seguía sintiendo igual físicamente, emocionalmente estaba destruida, esas palabras dichas por el médico de turno la invadieron de miedo e incertidumbre, esa misma semana la hospitalizaron y al poco tiempo tuvo su deceso.

No quiero dejar solo una historia médica triste, permítanme contarles esta otra con un final feliz: Esther es una ex-compañera de trabajo que tuvo un hijo con problemas médicos, a muy temprana edad fue diagnosticado con Leucemia y le dieron poco tiempo de vida, sin embargo, Esther trato a su hijo normal como si no tuviera alguna condición o enfermedad. El niño fue creciendo oyendo palabras positivas de su madre, "eres un niño saludable", "eres un niño fuerte y sano", cosas así, cuando se dirigían al médico ella decía que era rutina lo normal. Los médicos estaban sorprendidos porque aunque la Leucemia seguía en el organismo del muchacho éste parecía no tenerla, no le afectaba en nada, aún así cumplía un tratamiento. Este niño siempre estuvo rodeado de buenas palabras, tuvo una educación normal, fue buen estudiante, se graduó de bachiller, se fue a una academia de aviación y hoy es piloto de avión con un certificado de persona sana, venció a la enfermedad. Yo quiero pensar que mucho tuvo que ver el poder de las palabras positivas de su madre desde muy temprana edad.

En términos generales

Ahora bien, muchos estudios han demostrado que las palabras afectan nuestro organismo dependiendo de la carga intencional que tengan, así como en plantas, animales y hasta el agua.

Si buscamos en línea veremos muchos experimentos donde colocan o siembran dos semillas de la misma planta, y en el transcurso de su crecimiento a una de ellas se le dicen palabras bonitas, motivadoras, alegres, con buen tono y a la otra todo lo contrario, el resultado es una planta saludable y otra seca o pasmada sumida en el atraso. El mismo resultado se obtuvo colocando palabras escritas en papeles y colocados en las plantas.

Otro experimento muy conocido es el llevado a cabo por el científico japonés Masaru Emoto, el cual consistió en decir palabras amorosas, alegres y motivadoras a unas gotas de agua, mientras que a otras le decía palabras de odio, tristeza, miedos, luego eran observadas a través de un microscopio para ver la evolución de sus cristales. Los resultados obtenidos fueron cristales hermosos y bien definidos con las gotas de agua sometidas a buenas palabras, y cristales amorfos, abstractos, con cierto caos y sin definición en las gotas sometidas a malas palabras. Mismo resultado con papeles escritos con palabras buenas o malas, adheridos a tubos de ensayo con agua.

El cuerpo humano está compuesto en un 60 por ciento de agua, el cerebro se compone en un 70 por ciento de agua, la sangre en un 80 por ciento y los pulmones se componen en un 90 por ciento de agua. No cabe duda que la palabra tiene un poder influyente en nosotros.

Si hablamos de política, estos han dedicado mucho trabajo y esfuerzo para lograr un lenguaje que influya en los votantes y más allá de la palabra dicha también influyen con el lenguaje corporal y la imagen, pero eso es otro tema.

El poder de la palabra es un tema muy amplio y tiene mucha tela que cortar, pero indiscutiblemente nos vemos afectados por ella, una palabra nos construye o nos destruye, al igual que nosotros podemos construir o destruir con nuestras palabras, por eso debemos tener cuidado en la manera como nos dirigimos a nuestros semejantes, también a nuestros hermanos animales y plantas, a todo lo que nos rodea.

El Poder reside en todo y La Palabra tiene Poder.
